To use QTI, the school must first be certified. After certification the school receives a licence for the tool and can manage and run QTI processes itself.
Certification consists of a one-day course that gives participants both the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to work with QTI. The course covers, among other things:
The course is aimed at educational leaders, vice-principals, pedagogical leaders and other staff responsible for pedagogical development and leadership.
We recommend that at least two people from the same school attend. It strengthens the anchoring of the work with QTI when several people have in-depth knowledge of the tool, the Steering-Contact model and the development conversations based on the profiles. If several members of the leadership hold appraisal interviews (MUS), for example, it can be an advantage for the entire leadership to attend.
Our next certification course is on 26 October.
Location to follow.
A trial response is always free of charge and can be ordered any time at kontakt@qti.dk.
QTI provides the greatest benefit when the method is introduced and framed in a way that creates shared understanding and ownership among teachers. We therefore recommend starting a process focused on QTI and classroom management with a half or full pedagogical day for the school's entire group of teachers.
A shared kick-off gives teachers a common pedagogical language as well as theoretical and practical insight into how classroom management can strengthen students' motivation, participation and wellbeing. At the same time it creates a shared basis for the further work with QTI and the pedagogical development at the school.
